Well, here I am. I'm half-way through my last semester. I succesfully completed my preceptorship at the Endoscopy Clinic. I really enjoyed working there and I have learned a lot. Now I will begin my Community Health Project. I will work with a group of about 35. We will do some kind of community teaching on diabetes. (Yay?)
I am still working the soles of my feet off at the Lauberge du Lac. It's really getting quite ridiculous over there. Half the people there gave up tipping for Lent. And another thing... I don't believe you when you say you will get back to me or, "I'm going to come find you when I cash this ticket out" So, don't waste your time saying it. We both know.
Dance Recital routines are in full gear now. The theme for the recital is "Dance Extremes, Fire and Ice" or something cheesy like that. I am doing "Freeze Frame" for my 8-9-10 year old tap routine. "Ice ice baby" for the beginner gym, "Baby It's Cold outside" for the 5 year old ballet. Haley has decided to grace us with her presence in the Sr. Jazz class. I am glad to have someone to whisper to and laugh at my jokes in the back of the class. We are really excited about our jazz and lyrical routines.
Besides preparing for the NCLEX and working, I don't have much time for anything else. I am planning a trip back to L.A. for a little beach time and to take care of some business for my license. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Lately
I am about to finish up my 3rd semester in nursing. I will have completed med-surg I and pediatrics after finals in 3 weeks. This was a very stressful semester besides all the hard classes. I continued my job at the casino on the weekends and I'm still teaching tap, jazz, ballet, and gym.
The casino is as exciting as ever. I was able to meet Regis Philbin, Jeff Foxworthy, Wayne Brady, Miranda Lambert, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Gretchin Wilson. Sometimes I pick up shifts by working a an usher at the concerts. I really enjoy the change of pace and the opportunity to see the concerts for free!
As for the dance studio, the count down to the recital is on! The theme this year is Las Vegas. My favorite dance so far is the gymnastics routine to the theme from CSI: Las Vegas. The little girls are the "criminals" and the older girls are "CSI investigators." It's really cute. I've been putting in a lot of extra time up there because of all the pregnant teachers. Don't worry though, I've been drinking bottled water.
Phi Mu Fraternity will be blessed with my prescence for at least one more semester. I was sad to see my pledge class leave and enter alumnae status. I decided that I'm already stuck here at McNeese for another year, might as well enjoy some of it with my sisters.

Hey I'm back guys! I forgot my password so I couldn't get on for a while.
I have been busy with school since August though. I'm still in Phi Mu but, no long hold a executive position. This is good though. I miss Kickers. I went to one game and didn't really know what to do or where to go. I ended up going to the band stand and sitting with the kickers. I haven't been to a football game since.
I'm still teaching dance at Karen Ogden Dance Studio 2 days a week. I work on the golf course 2 days a week as well. The days are getting shorter and less people are comming out to play so I will be picking up shifts on the casino floor for the winter. I will be cocktailing on graves. It will be hard work but I hear I can make a lot of money. The Ladies of L'auberge Calendar is coming out this month and I'm excited about that. I aslo have been helping out with the concerts at Lauberge to make extra money. I got to see Gretchin Wilson and Miranda Lambert. They were awesome!! In January I will get to see Wayne Brady and Jeff Foxworthy. And I get paid $20 an hour to usher and stand there during the whole show. This job has it's perks.
As for shcool..I'm almost done with finals. I'm still in the running to be America's next top Nurse. I'm just gonna keep going to class until they cut me. I really enoy it and I'm excited about med-surg next semester. I only have 3 semesters to go!!!! So far so good.
I got a new addition to my family this semester. No..I'm not engaged. I got Johnny Ringo. He is a 6 month old Shiztu. He's no Deuce but, he is just as cute and has his own personality. I bought him from a friend in Phi Mu. Her parents told her she could NOT get another dog and she did. She ended up having to move back home and couldn't tell her parents that she had a dog. So I offered to take him. The thing is my parents told me I couldn't have a dog either. I told them I was just babysitting until Megan could take him. But, that's a lie. Dad is the only one who doesn't know....(you know how it is) So if he asks...it's just temporary. Everyone is starting to fall in love with him though, even Dad. I caught Dad playing with Ringo one day. We are still working on pooping outside but, other than that he is great! He makes me laugh all the time!
